Dziś zapraszam do lektury recenzji modelu Antoinette the Duckoner z linii Kingpin of Dunkeldorf od Dunkeldorf Miniatures. Modele otrzymałem w solidnie zabezpieczonej paczce, a widoczna na zdjęciach figurka została dodatkowo umieszczona w osobnym woreczku strunowym. Wieloczęściowy model, przeznaczony do samodzielnego złożenia, został odlany w białym metalu. Części są dość dobrze spasowane, a sklejenie z pomocą masy modelarskiej i kleju cyjanoakrylowego nie nastręczyło żadnych problemów. Jakość odlewu jest bardzo dobra, nie zauważyłem większych nadlewek; widoczne są jedynie niewielkie linie podziału formy, a wszystko było łatwe do usunięcia ostrym nożem. Model przedstawia młodą poskramiaczkę kaczek. Nie znam żadnego podania czy legendy o poskramiaczce kaczek, ale wydaje mi się, że postać Antoinette the Duckoner może być inspirowana którymś z opowiadań o gęsiaraczkach — jak się Wam wydaje? Tak czy inaczej, to jedna z Community Miniatures, wymyślona przez fanów podczas zbiórki na KS. Czy ten model nie domaga się własnej historii? Today, I invite you to read my review of the Antoinette the Duckoner miniature from the Kingpin of Dunkeldorf line by Dunkeldorf Miniatures. The miniatures arrived in a well-secured package, and the figure you can see in the photos was additionally placed in a separate zip-lock bag. This multi-part miniature, intended for self-assembly, is cast in white metal. The parts fit together quite well, and assembling them with modelling putty and cyanoacrylate glue caused no problems whatsoever. The casting quality is very good — I noticed no major flash, only small mould lines, all of which were easy to remove with a sharp blade. The miniature depicts a young duck tamer. While I’m not aware of any folktale or legend about a duck tamer, it seems to me that the character of Antoinette the Duckoner might have been inspired by one of the stories about goose girls — what do you think? In any case, she is one of the Community Miniatures, created by fans during a Kickstarter campaign. Still, doesn’t this miniature beg for a story?
